Minecraft players can now customize their armor with the new “armor trims”! These patterns are available in 11 different designs and can be dyed in 10 different colors.
To add these patterns to your armor, players need to find a “smithing template”, a new required ingredient for upgrading armor at the smithing table. They can be found all over the Minecraft worlds and the patterns reflect the place where you found the template.
“We are excited to offer this new way to customize your armor and show off your adventures in the Minecraft world,” said a Mojang spokesperson. “We strive to bring new features to players and this is another way to make them feel creative and unique.”
Players can try out these patterns in this week’s Java Snapshot and they will soon be available in the Bedrock beta and preview versions as well.
